About the events

The events themselves are a mix of fun activities, thought provoking discussions, workshops and space for young Quakers to explore and engage with their own Quakerism. We try really hard to create a community at the event where inclusiveness and caring for others is strongly emphasised.

We usually take over a Meeting House as our base for the weekend, sleeping arrangements are single sex in the meeting house’s rooms and a roll up mat and good sleeping bag are recommended. We involve young people in running and planning the event as much as possible, e.g. helping prepare the dinner, running a few games, leading an epilogue meeting and deciding on activities for next events.

We have a great team of experienced adult volunteers which we aim to have around a 1:4 ratio of volunteers to young people. We follow guidelines from Britain Yearly Meeting concerning the safety and well-being of those taking part. All adult volunteers are required to have current, enhanced disclosures from the Disclosure and Barring Service (used to be called CRB). We are part of London Quakers who are also our Trustees.
